The tactile nature of paper is its biggest and most unique trait. Our fingertips are sending subliminal messages to our brain without our knowing it. What has been so exciting in the paper world is that we have seen an uptick in people favoring textured papers. The options are endless. There are so many finishes to choose from and countless way to include texture to amplify and compliment your print jobs. Textures range from the traditional linen and laid to the modernistic stipple and techweave to the organic woodgrain and felt. But there’s one texture that always seems to stop people in their tracks and makes them take notice. It is paper that has a surface that feels somewhat rubbery and plastic-like.
